Gut microbiota (microbial survival)

microbial survival (minimal functional effect) Low small trial (n=12) (A)

The microorganisms in camembert cheese (Lactococcus, Leuconostoc, Geotrichum) survive transit and reach the colon alive, but the effect on the metabolic activity of the microbiota was minimal (small study n=12). Interesting for fermented foods, functional benefit not yet demonstrated.
